We're supposed to be smart

Four is too young for school settings without the primary care giver. We can make all the excuses we want about why we choose to do it, it does not change the fact it is too young!

The first question I'd be asking as a support therapist is why do you feel you need to send him? Is it crucial for childcare? Is it because society tells you he needs to go? Is it because you need the break (let's not be ashamed of needing a break, we do way to much alone as mum's!)? Is it because you think it'll give him something you can't?

From those answers you can then formulate a plan that either keeps him out of school till he's older (or for good which is totally doable for pretty much everyone with the right support) or helps you continue sending him with conscious awareness and support of him and you to meet your needs.

we do start them too young if it's at 4 year old. At that age by comparison to any young mammal developmentally they'd still very much be in the nest with the mother being taught what they need only by her and the family that particular type not mammal have around. That would include survival skills, feeding themselves skills, cleaning and caring for the nest skills, socialising with their family and playing.

We think we're so smart as humans and yet break this basic mammalian care of our young and pass it on to someone else?
